Join me for this deep dive weekend at the beautiful Rivendell Retreat Centre on Bowen Island, to take some time to focus on your own learning and growth as you learn some powerful and transformational tools and practices you can apply for yourself.
This year there will be a focus on the self-limiting beliefs that hold us back from stepping fully into our gifts, strengths, leadership and courageous voice and contributions in leadership, life and work.
There are so many intelligent, heartful, creative people suffering from forms of “imposter syndrome”, ‘not good enoughness’ and self-judgement that not only causes stress and holds them back, but also leads to a loss of valuable contributions to the whole. Sometimes these patterns show up more in some specific areas of our lives and work, and sometimes they can effect our whole sense of self.
Assumptions, self-judgement, fear and scarcity thinking can undermine our confidence and self-worth, fog our best thinking, drain our life force and make it much harder to show up fully in our work, relationships and creation of the whole and satisfying life. There is not a lot of room left for joy, creativity and innovation when we are feeling fearful and ‘not good enough.’
Many of the underlying beliefs and patterns that undermine us and feed the ‘not enough-ness’ and ‘imposter syndrome’ are internalized from cultural conditioning as well as past negative experiences that carry forward. These beliefs are often biased, oversimilified and not accurate to the current situation but they still hold a lot of power in our sense of who we are and what we are capable of.
This type of thinking and the mindset it brings can become unconscious and automatic, negatively influencing our emotions, behaviours, decisions and even our sense of identity. These patterns are strong, but we can learn to work with them and make real change.
Using a powerful self-inquiry tool (adapted from The Work) alongside some positive neuroplasticity exercises, you can learn to identify and shift the underlying beliefs and patterns that hold you back and undermine your wise and more accurate sense of wholeness, strength and possibility. You can apply these practices to both professional and personal life.
